19:00 - 22:00 | Performances
This evening is all about meeting one another and sharing personal experiences and stories. Throughout the evening, several performances will be presented by artists whose work explores the theme of grief.
Zhenyu Wu presents Porter les choses disparues, while Christine Verheyden presents Hardt.
"Porter les choses disparues" is a participatory performance about absence, memory and the things we continue to carry after they are gone. Through a simple sequence of writing, carrying, passing and placing, participants gradually transform individual traces into a temporary collective archive. The work does not ask people to explain or perform their grief; instead, it gives form to what is often difficult to say directly. Personal fragments move from one body to another, becoming lighter, heavier, altered or shared.
What remains is a fragile landscape of gestures, memories and things that can no longer return in the same form."
"I see your heart, being hard on you".
In HARDT, actress and visual artist Christine Verheyden, shows what really wants to be seen.
The work balances between safety and suffocation.
Is it better to be seen or to hide when you feel stuck or uncomfortable?
In her work, Christine Verheyden, creates time and space, to bring you closer to yourself and the ability to find comfort within yourself.
HARDT gives you the strength to be seen instead of hiding yourself.
