About us
Tussenruimte
Gallery, Shared Workspaces & Studios
Tussenruimte is a place where art can emerge by being given the space to do so. Here, we give artists room to (re)discover themselves and to experiment. Tussenruimte gives vacant spaces a new life: places where local residents, artists, entrepreneurs and newcomers can spontaneously cross paths and build bridges across the boundaries of their own worlds.
Tussenruimte moves at the crossroads between existing and new — design and use — art and living together — encounter and tension.
Together with partners from the neighbourhood, Tussenruimte creates a shared place that is shaped by the people who use it and that invites them to take part in shaping it. We choose process over perfection: space for experimentation, for the unfinished, for ideas that are allowed to grow as we learn together. Our doors are open. We share what we have, create opportunities where they are needed, and invite people to step into this space and help shape it — take space, make space. In doing so, we broaden perspectives, create opportunities for people to meet one another, and give something back to the place we are part of.

Adults Bereaved as Children
Some losses occur before or around the time of your birth, or early in life, when you are still a child or young person. The sense of absence can stay with you for many years, revealing itself in different ways at different stages of life.
Sometimes, there was little space to grieve at the time. Perhaps it was not talked about at home, there were other concerns to deal with, or the loss remained an unspoken subject. Even when support was available, questions, emotions and memories can resurface later in life.
What you lose early in life — or what you miss without ever having consciously known it — can become intertwined with who you become and how you move through life. The absence becomes part of your life story: sometimes like a missing piece of the puzzle, sometimes like a quiet presence that continues to travel alongside you.
